No one can control mother nature so if your home has suffered storm damage, navigating the recovery process can be overwhelming. Fortunately, Sky Prime Contractor is here to simplify the process and provide expert assistance.
We'll handle everything from meeting with your insurance adjuster to finalizing the paperwork and ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience for you.
Our team will conduct a thorough inspection of your roof, gutters, downspouts, siding, interior, and any other areas affected by the storm.
We will document any damage found and share our findings with you.
We will collaborate with your insurance company to determine if your damage qualifies for a claim before an adjuster is sent out.
If sufficient damage is found, we will guide you through the process of filing a claim.
Once a claim is filed, your insurance company will send an adjuster to assess the damage. This is a critical part of the process.
We will meet with the adjuster to highlight the damage and use our industry expertise to help you receive the full compensation you are entitled to from your insurance company.
3- Decision: Approval or Denial
If your claim is denied initially, don’t worry. You have two opportunities to get the claim approved, and we will assist you in filing for a reinspection with a different adjuster.
Once your claim is approved, we will review the estimate provided by the insurance adjuster. This document, called the scope of work, outlines everything the insurance company is willing to cover.
We will ensure all necessary items are included and supplement any items the insurance company may have missed.
4- Policy Types
Replacement Cost Value (RCV) Policy: Your insurance pays for the total cost of replacing your damaged property minus any deductible. The recoverable depreciation payment is withheld until all work outlined in the scope is completed. We will manage this process for you to ensure all items are covered. (RCV – Deductible = Payment received from insurance)
Actual Cost Value (ACV) Policy: Your insurance pays for the actual cash value of your property minus any deductible, and the depreciation is non-recoverable. (RCV – Depreciation – Deductible = Payment received from insurance)
5- Payment
The initial insurance payment is typically required when you receive it and is due once we start the job. If a mortgage company is included on the payment, we will need endorsements from all parties.
After the work is completed, we will invoice your insurance company to release the depreciation check (the withheld depreciation from the initial payment), if applicable.
The depreciation payment and your deductible are due once you receive the final payment from your insurance company.
6- Deliverables
Once we have a signed contract and scope of work, we will schedule your build. Materials are typically delivered the day before the scheduled build date. Sky Prime Contractor promises to provide the following services:
Tarp your landscaping to protect it from falling debris.
Remove all trash and leftover materials from your property.
Use a magnetic roller to pick up any fallen nails.
Conduct a final walkthrough with you to ensure your complete satisfaction with our work.
